Module 1

Module 1: Reflect & Revive

Objectives

After the completion of TRUSTED’s Module 1, each participant will…

  • Have a clear understanding of the distinction between leadership and management
  • Gain a greater awareness of his or her behavior and its impact on others
  • Get the opportunity to define his or her “Leadership Why”
  • Learn the key elements of shaping a culture
  • Understand how to navigate organizational transformation in an engaging manner that is clear and outcomes driven.

Learning Topics

Leadership Awareness
An interactive discussion will be facilitated on the distinction between leadership and management, where participants share their perspectives, and the instructor links shared perspectives to the differentiating factor between a leader and a manager. In addition, the underlying models for the behavior and leadership self-assessments will be reviewed and participants will be guided on how to maximize the insight in their personal profiles. 

Connection to Your “Why”
An emerging model that encourages leaders to refocus on their core values, will be reviewed and utilized. Participants will receive guidance and space to identify and define their “Leadership Why.”

Leadership Presence
The ability to walk into a room and command instant attention and respect, is a snapshot of what makes up leadership presence. This elusive nature that is felt immediately and has the power to inspire the multitudes will be examined and discussed.  Each participant will learn the five factors that drive leadership presence and the three-point path for increasing his or her leadership presence daily.

Culture Shaping
Participants will discuss and share perspectives on how culture emerges in an organization. Participants will receive insight on the role of the leader in monitoring culture and guidance for shaping a culture that is aligned with the vision.

Change Leadership
The eight principles for leading change will be presented, discussed and experienced. The psychology of change on an individual and an organizational level will be explored. Participants will receive best practices for being a driver, sponsor and/or implementer of change.  

Module 2

Module 2: Engage & Empower

Objectives

After the completion of TRUSTED’s Module 2, each participant will…

  • Become aware of the four distinct components of emotional intelligence and his or her personal competence in each domain
  • Learn how to establish, sustain and rebuild trust in professional relationships
  • Gain valuable techniques for initiating connected and compelling communication
  • Receive essential action steps for the continuous engagement of employees
  • Experience team-building best practices in class that can be used in real-world applications
  • Examine the impact of their behavior on high team performance

Learning Topics

Emotional Intelligence
Emotions drive every act of a leader and exist within every interaction he or she has, conveying this significance to participants will be at the heart of this learning segment’s opening discussion.  Participants will also learn the four domains of emotional intelligence and receive their personal emotional intelligence reports.

Relationship Building
Trust is an essential element in each relationship.  Participants will get a deeper understanding of this intangible element that drives the tangible results of an organization.  A dynamic view of the interconnectedness between a leader’s thoughts, statements and actions, and the trust that is fostered in his or her relationships will be presented.  The business case for the potent power that exists when leaders develop authentic relationships within an organization will be shared.

Effective Communication
Participants will learn a simple and profound understanding of what makes communication effective. There will be compelling models and techniques shared that will help each participant to strengthen his or her existing communication abilities and develop new practices for addressing his or her common communication challenges.

Employee Engagement
Using the behavior model reviewed in Module 1, participants will discover a comprehensive model of engaging employees regardless of their employment stages: new, experienced and veteran. Strategies on how to sustain engagement that drives the envisioned outcomes will be discussed.  In addition, best practices will be shared on how to seamlessly make employee engagement a part of the organizational culture.

Team-building
Team dynamics will be explored and experienced by participants during this portion of the program. Models and principles will be presented on the four distinct stages of team development, and the essential function of the leader in each stage will be revealed.  Participants will experience bonding through activities in various group sizes and have the opportunity to generate ideas for strengthening their teams.

High-Performance Cultivation
An interconnected map of all of the learning topics covered will be displayed, and participants will receive a focused view of the significance of each element to individual and team performance. Insightful concepts for cultivating and sustaining high performance will be reviewed. In addition, participants will be able to receive guidance with their real case performance challenges.
